NSPCA announced on Facebook and other outlets plans to stage a relief and rescue mission into the disaster areas. Basically the plan is to reinforce the Ibaraki shelter and then proceed from there deep into the disaster zones. We hope that they can get supplies to the families with pets in the evacuation centers as well as get some rescued animals back to their shelters. Good luck to you NSPCA and take care.

Japan's Nippon SPCA supports a
shelter in quake-struck areas.
They have already gone
into the affected areas in
relief of the animal shelter
they operate there and are
taking in the most vulnerable dogs.
