Kitty of the Day is, well, Kitties of the Day--a two-cat special for the weekend of 16-17 September 2017--are Hank (left) and Richie (right, an all-black cat who is brothers with Buddy, now with me, and Frankie, RIP). I stop by at the Tawara colony to see them just about every day. They live behind the small post office there, and around the local public bath. There is also Cosmos, a friendly white and gray kitty, but he wasn't around when I took this photo. TNR and adoption have got the colony there down to 4 cats, but these overlap with the group at the SE corner of campus, in the neighborhood there, where there are about 5 cats still.
