Remembering OB, Caramel and Tiger Boy.
Now
that it is spring, I'm really missing these three brothers. All three
were born on the campus of University of Fukui. Tiger Boy lived only one
year before being killed by a car. Caramel lived five years on campus
and succumbed to what I think was rat poison (information I only later
got from someone who saw him while he was stricken). I brought in the
surviving brother, OB, but he passed away from
illness on 1 January this year. They are survived by their sister, Maya
Girl, whom I found a home for, their mother, Ragi-mama, who lives in my
'cat sanctuary', and Bigwig, their father, who is at Animal Friends
Niigata shelter.
I really miss these three handsome guys. Every time I walk across campus I wish they would come jumping out of the bushes to startle me and ask me to play.

OB-kun 2005-2013
We had to say good-bye to a campus favorite, OB-kun, a lovely orange tabby. He joins his brothers Caramel and Tiger Boy across the Rainbow Bridge. He is survived by his mother Ragi-mama, his sister, Maya Girl, and (in the second photo), his cousin Shaun.
