How Sheba, Gus, Buddy
and Willy survived a long, cold winter (and Tonio and Richie too). These
really work well. This type of chest keeps them dry, and the carpet
tile lining and Styrofoam keep them warm. These are camouflaged so as not to draw attention to them. When up against buildings, I can also paint them the color of the buildings--such as sand color. The ones in back of this building have been painted to match the color of the building.

Mel: OK, now that I'm out I might as well eat dinner.
Mel,
the latest rescue, is an orange-and-white male about 3 years old. His
injured left front leg has about healed and he is limping only a little
now. Good eating habits. Good litter habits. Starting to groom now too.
He will go back to the vet after the Golden Week holidays for neutering,
vaccination and FIV/FeLV diagnostic.

Some 'furniture' for the cats at the house
I plan to buy
'climbing towers' for all three groups of cats at the house--so one for
OB-kun, Shaun and Ragi-mama, another for Sheba, Gus and Buddy, and a
third one for Bootsie-mama, Pancho and Tiger Baby. But until then, the
cats enjoy climbing on, sleeping and hiding in, and scratching away at
these homemade cardboard box things.
MEET MEL--THE LATEST FCF RESCUE
Meet Mel. Mel got injured this weekend, so I caught him and took him to the vet. Will update on Monday. Mel is a lovely orange and white cat. He had been living as an indoor-outdoor cat, but the human in his life got ill and was forced to move into a nursing home, so Mel was abandoned.
You can't see him very well through the plastic case, but he is a very handsome orange and white. He was born around the same time as Babe and Sebastien, which puts him at three years this spring. I wonder if any of them are related to each other? Meet Mel. Mel got injured this weekend, so I caught him and took him to the vet. Will update on Monday. Mel is a lovely orange and white cat.
